What happens when you hire the Doula Band as your doulas:
I work with two wonderful and experienced doulas, Chelsea Bryan and Cara Sether, to provide well rounded labor doula support during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. We enjoy getting to know new mamas and their families and love to support them in fulfilling a powerful and safe birthing experience.
We prefer to take time to really get to know our client's vision of the birth you would like to have before you go into labor. Our main goal is to help prepare you and your support people to provide the most comfortable environment for you to deliver your little one into the world.
We support mamas through labor by providing information regarding birth processes and interventions, position changes, comfort measures, breathing techniques, visualization, hydrotherapy, hands on massage, guided relaxation, and encouragement for the duration of your labor from the start of active labor, or as soon as you would like additional support, through about 2 hours after your baby is born and breastfeeding is established. We check in with you on Day 2, 3 or 5, and again between day 5-10.

Your birth package includes:
- Prenatal initial introduction, typically over the phone
- Prenatal interview meeting, in person with your partner
- 2+ Additional prenatal visits to get to know each other, go over comfort measures, and delve into fears and birthing history
- Continuous labor support from active labor, or whenever you would like additional support, through delivery and until breastfeeding is established
- One postpartum massage for mama in your home coupled with a postpartum check-in. Ideally within the first 10 days postpartum for vaginal births, and within the first month for a caesarean birth or when you feel comfortable receiving a massage. An Herbal bath or herbal steam is prepared following your postpartum massage if available for you to slip into after your massage.
- Postpartum check-ins day 2,3 or 5, and with your postpartum massage within the first 10 days
Creative financial agreements available to ensure all women have access to Doula support before and during labor. Inquire to discuss creative options.
